If eyebrows were kept clean and dry, only a thin film of skin (not a scab) will appear and start to peel around day 7. The skin will peel by itself gently on day 7-10. Do not touch or scratch at your brows until fully healed. It’s normal for dryness and flakiness to appear after peeling.
When should Microblading start peeling?
Around 7-14 days, you may notice some flaking/shedding of the skin near the brow area. When the skin flakes off, many times the Microblading strokes have disappeared. THIS IS NORMAL.
Does Microblading always peel?

When they do, you might notice a patchy eyebrow area as the top layer of pigment starts to disappear. You’ll also notice your eyebrows look much lighter than expected, but this will slowly correct itself as the skin heals.
Can I wash my eyebrows after 7 days of microblading?
Do not let any water, lotion, soap, or makeup touch your eyebrow area during the first 7 days after your procedure. Please wash your face carefully around the eyebrow without getting water on the treated area. During the shower, keep your face away from the shower head or take a bath.
How do you know when your Microbladed eyebrows are healed?
After 1 month, your skin will be completely healed. You shouldn’t feel any pain or discomfort. Your eyebrows should also look soft and full. In another month or two, you’ll likely have a follow-up appointment with your provider.
Why did my microblading fade so fast?
Getting the brow is too wet after microblading, or using the wrong ointment and even getting too much sun are all possible reasons for fading. Most people choose the dry healing option because it avoids some of the tediousness of wet healing and it results in a crisper finish.
Why do eyebrows scab after microblading?
Microblading is done by making small incisions on the skin into which the pigment is deposited. So, since it involves breaking the skin, this means that your freshly microbladed eyebrows are an open wound that needs to heal. That is why it scabs during the healing process, just as any other wound.
When can I wet my eyebrows after microblading?
Avoid getting the area wet for at least 7 days. This includes keeping your face dry during a shower. Don’t wear makeup for at least a week. This is because the pigments are still settling into the shallow cuts in your skin caused by the blading.
Can I fill in my eyebrows after microblading?
Yes, after 2 weeks your skin is already healed so you can fill in your eyebrows. You do need to wait at least 6-8 weeks for the Microblading touch up so the full color can completely come to the surface as well as keep the integrity of the skin.
Do brows scab after touch up?
The appearance of your new permanent eyebrows will be darker and thicker than you might expect. Usually after about a week or so, the area and top layer starts to scab and “shed” off in sections. The new exposed pigment will eventually soften and settle into an appropriate natural appearance.
