Fragrance: The pudding has a sweet fragrance. It reminds me of cake batter. The scent is a bit strong if you’re smelling it directly from the container but it reduces once I use the product in my hair.

Texture and Color: It is a thick white cream which spreads easily. It works well with my other products because I don’t see any flakes when I use it.

Packaging: The pudding comes in a plastic container with a twist-off cap. The label has key information about the product and the design aligns with other Natural Nigerian products.

Uses: I primarily use this product to seal in moisture. You can use it to set braids, twists, bantu knots, etc.

My Take:

I purchased this product at the one of the Natural in the City meetups I recently ended my transition and I was looking to try some stylers. When I looked at the ingredient list, I was a bit wary because I saw shea butter as a top ingredient. My skin loves shea butter. My hair, on the other hand, does not. It tends to sit on my hair and it gets a bit greasy. Thankfully, I did not have these issues with this pudding. It seems to be well formulated and not excessively greasy.

At first, I tried using this product for my curly styles and twist-outs. It didn’t give me the best hold. Lagos humidity took control. One thing I did notice was it kept my hair moisturized for DAYS. I was happily surprised.

In hindsight, I didn’t adhere to the instructions too well. I used it on wet/damp hair. I may try using it again. However, next time I will let it dry completely. I may even use my dryer.

Now, I use the product to help seal my moisture in on wash days and when I twist my hair. This is a good product especially if you like creamy stylers.

Would I purchase again? Yes.
