I have a special place in my heart for quality Made-in-Nigeria brands. Dabs of Savvy & Chic Hair Beauty Hub must have one too. 🙂 Last Saturday, the Savvy & Chic Hair Beauty Hub hosted the team from KUI Care for a sample party. This event was aimed at introducing the KUI brand to consumers. Hopefully, this will be the first of many Nigerian-made product lines to be showcased.
Unfortunately, I got there a little late. Transport issues. I did get to hear Majiroghene Otobo, the MD of KUI Care, answer questions about the brand, give advice for people who want to start a cosmetic line, and share her vision for KUI Care. Fun Fact: ‘Kui’ means star in the Ijaw language. She aspires to have KUI Care throughout Africa and eventually on the scale of a Unilever. I can tell that she’s very passionate about KUI Care and wants consumers to have the best experience with the products.
Currently, KUI Care has four products in their Tea Tree & Cinnamon Collection range: Moisturising Shampoo, Moisturising Conditioner, Leave-in Conditioning Mist, and Moisturising Hair Cream. The Savvy & Chic stylists demonstrated how to use some of the products. The shampoo and conditioner seemed to detangle the hair very well. The model’s (Deola) hair did not look stripped or rough afterwards. Tomiwa had her massive fro detangled with the leave-in mist. It happened so quickly. I think they finished her entire head in about 15 minutes!
It was nice to mingle with other hair enthusiasts and learn more about KUI Care. Hopefully, there will be similar events in the future.
Have your tried any products from KUI Care?
