It’s been over two months since I last posted. 🙁 I never intended to stay away this long. Many things have happened since I took my mini break.

I was invited to speak at Naija Hair Can Grow‘s Salon Day Out with Ekene of The Kink and I, Ade of Locitude, and Tosin of Naija Naturals and Africanism Cosmopolitan. The event went pretty well. Dabs posted all about it here.

I had my traditional wedding too. 🙂

Naturals in the City 15 and Loc Appreciation Day was a few weeks ago. Luckily, I was able to attend both events. Oyime (Oyime’s Musings and Makeup by Oyime) taught us an eyebrow tutorial. I got the be the lucky model. The eyebrows lasted the whole day.

Sandra (Naija Girl Next Door) also did a twisting tutorial. The talks were very interesting. My favorite was from Iheoma Obibi of Naija Desires on “Speaking to your children about sex and sexuality”. It was a real eye-opener. You can check out Natural Nigerian’s and The Kink and I’s Instagram feeds for more pictures. Unfortunately for me, I got to the Loc Appreciation Day late. I got to see and gist with some people. Ade posted what happened here.

My hair has been through some things too. That one deserves its own post. 😐 *Coming soon*

I won’t lie. Lately, it has been tough to get motivated to write interesting posts. Sometimes, I feel like my brain is blocked. I’ve decided to try and keep writing regardless. I have a backlog of posts to finish. Hopefully, that will get me out of this writing funk.

I’m still considering ways to improve my blog and also incorporate different types of content. Lately, food has been on my mind. I watch so many food tasting videos. It’s something that fascinates me. One day, I’d like to do a food tour across a country and eat various local delicacies. Something like Anthony Bourdain, African Bite, and SORTEDFood do.

I missed blogging a bit and responding to comments. I think trying some new things while sticking to the basics will get me past this hump. Thanks so much for your continued support.

What have you all been up to?
