Weekly Blog Round Up [64]

Blog Round Up

First blog round up of the year! My apologies for not doing this sooner. My site and computer were having problems. In fact, my computer is still down. I took it to the repair shop about 2 weeks ago and they fixed it. Now the screen doesn’t come on and there were no screen issues before.  I had to take it back there and hopefully it will come back in one piece. Anyway, enough excuses. Here are my top reads for this week.

Downton Abbey has ended! 😥 I really enjoyed that show. However, the last few seasons were a bit shaky. I was already invested. Lady Mary and Mathew. The Dowager. Thomas. Mr. Carson. They will be missed. The New York Times did a nice piece on the show and its goodbye.

This is an interesting piece about African-Chinese marriages in a region of China. Since there is some racism in that region, I’m curious about how the families cope.

Logos and graphics are so interesting. Sometimes I wish I studied it in school. Fast Company compiled a list of the best and worst branding of 2015.

Recently, there was a video showing recent ‘repats’ in Lagos. They seemed to be enjoying the sweet life. 😐 As a ‘repat’, I can tell you that it’s not like that for everyone. This open letter from YNaija helps to shed some light on the realities one may face coming back to live the Nigerian dream.

I was recently featured on My Hair, My Beauty NG where I discussed my top beauty and hair products. 😀
