30 Days of Water Challenge

November banner

You may already know that I like to do challenges. I’m not sure what it is but challenges force me to be consistent. Also, having others joining the challenge gives a sense of community and a common goal. When I say that JustGrowAlready and Relaxed Thairapy are doing a water challenge, I jumped at it. There are a host of benefits to drinking water. I wanted to join this challenge to see if it would help my skin. I have eczema (atopic dermatitis) which is basically an allergic reaction that manifests on your skin. I had it under control (or so I thought). Lately, my skin has gone nuts. I have eczema patches all over. (I used to get them on my ankles, elbows and sometimes my hands.) My eczema usually flares up when the weather is really dry or my skin is really dry. I have to use oil and shea butter after I shower to lock the moisture in. I hoping that drinking more water will help my internal moisture and calm this eczema down. Before the challenge, I would drink about 1.5 – 2 liters/day (51 – 68 ounces/day). Now, I’m trying to step it up to 3 liters (101 ounces)! I’m using the HydroCoach app on my phone and I will check in daily on Facebook, Twitter, and Google+. I started yesterday (November 10). I will update you at the end of the 30 days (December 10). You can still join the challenge. Who’s with me?

How much water do you drink everyday?
